The Consumer Council
Every week The Consumer Council of Northern Ireland contacts home heating oil suppliers from across Northern Ireland to determine the cheapest, dearest and average home heating oil prices.
The survey is carried out for each of the following regions: Antrim, Ards, Armagh, Ballymena, Ballymoney, Banbridge, Belfast, Carrickfergus, Castlereagh, Coleraine, Cookstown, Craigavon, Derry/L’derry, Downpatrick, Dungannon, Fermanagh, Larne, Limavady, Lisburn, Magherafelt, Moyle, Newry & Mourne, Newtownabbey, North Down, Omagh and Strabane. There is also a survey of online prices carried out.
Table 1 shows the average price for 300, 500 and 900 litres of home heating oil based on the Consumer Council’s survey, across the province.
Fuel Round guarantees to match or beat the Consumer Council 300 litre price survey every time, regardless of weather, economic conditions or local market forces in every region of Northern Ireland. We call this The Price Guarantee, also known as the Cap Price.
Guide Cap Price
The Guide Cap Price is the cap at the time of ordering. It allows customers to do real-time comparisons between Fuel Round and other fuel suppliers at the time of ordering.
Actual Cap Price
The Actual Cap Price is the cap immediately before quotations are sought. It is the price that we will not exceed, unless you specifically give us permission to.
